Environmental and Social Justice Recognition Event

In 2014, Edmonton Public Schools developed a visual showcase where six district schools were interviewed and allowed to present their current environmental and social justice initiatives in a five minute video. Each story focused on a specific project completed by the school.  The videos were compiled into a video montage and released publicly to kick-off the 2014 Waste Reduction Week in Canada.

The video montage will remain available online through the EnviroMatters website and other social media outlets to continually recognize schools, empower students to learn about resources available and to inspire them to create a difference.

Head over to the District’s YouTube channel to watch the videos and see some of the amazing things happening in the district!  The featured schools include Florence HallockRutherfordM.E. LaZerteJasper Place and Kate Chegwin.
